Cat, if you set up auto archive it is very easy to find emails in the archive folder. You can archive emails on old comp and move to a usb drive to transfer to new comp. The only catch is that they will only open via outlook. Assuming you are using outlook. Another idea is to create a file to drop and drag important emails into so they don't get lost amongst the ones that need trashing.

I approach my email collection with a somewhat religious fervour ... when I have deleted and filed 100 or so mails, I feel so holy. When my inbox is down to 10 pages of important and relevant emails that I have to take action on (instead of 100), you can call me St Katy and pray to me. It happens rarely enough to BE a miracle.

I have two email addresses.. One for spam, and one that I actually use..
Gmail is actually pretty efficient at sorting out spam, rarely has it put something important in spam
You keep using that word, I do not think it means what you think it means

I have four emails
one personal
one spam
one business
and one that is just there coz I liked the email address and I have never used it so it gets nothing...
I have thought about setting up an archive but never got around to it... if I know where it is then that is fine and easy to to to and delete them all..
but I don't know where these ones are going...

Hot mail is my favourite though it has changed to outlook express.
But I only talk to a couple of people on there and I don't get any spam.
optus seems to get a lot of spam I also have a gmail account but I don't remember the password.
life can't be too interesting for you Karen if you want to know what affairs other people are having, they can't bring you any excitement. :^O

btw, I use Gmail and Hotmail like internet garbage bins. Hardly ever log into the ones for Ebay etc.....so much spam it ain't funny. I Keep a private one separately = much easier to sort the Ham from the Spam when there's no Spam.
