6 Years of the ferocious  "Gotcha" press trying to get Abbott, trying to destroy any message getting out without them going after every word, every nuance to destroy him, has culminated into a careful manner.

 

He can rabble rouse with the best of them but that's not what we expect from a PM, let Showbag rant and let Conroy insult, they will never rise above their low politics.

i think so....i don't notice the pauses so much any more......or maybe the fact that my father stuttered, it would get quite bad at times,  made me more tolerant ???  not sure..

 well that might help explain it.  one of my children has suffered a speech impediment and i'm tolerant in that respect. abbotts speech impairment is a result of having to be overly careful, he can't afford to let the real tone out.  . so its slow deliberate and stilted in case he lets his true feelings out.

The hate we see exhibited by supporters of Labor in the wider community  makes anything Gillard suffered paltry and petty, but, no matter, PM Abbott is above all that & that is what we expect from a dignified PM. trying to run a successful government so he doesn't have to sink to the levels we saw Gillard exhibit.

I have seen a lot of criticism about Abbotts manner of speaking....specifically referring to the uhmms and errrrs........I dont see that as a deliberate attempt to carefully control what he says......Obama  speaks in similar manner.....I have always put that down to being the way they express themselves and tend not to focus on that........But that's just me..
