Wouldn't it be nice if, just once, we could have an intelligent, informed political debate that didn't sink into rhetoric, histrionics, irrelevant  name-calling and blind ideology.

Did Bill shorten make an embarraasing political error - yes

 

Did he compound that error by giving very silly answers when quizzed about it - yes.

 

Was it a mistake of international or even national significence - no.

 

Is there anything else of any signficence left to say about it - nothing

His appalling judgement and the political missteps are mounting up.

 

Bit like Gillard, not up to the job and not up to the integrity and core values needed.
