Meanings change all the time.  There is no place in this century for the context of gender based differentiation in language.  It's as outdated as the concept of women needing the permission of her husband to drive.

... and because most people don't use that expression (especially young people) anymore, the original meaning of it is never going to evolve into something else.

I was listenig to a lawyer on the radio a few days ago who had seen video footage and it seems Lara is telling porkies.

As far as the F word goes, good on her! It was funny and not said at the awards.
