In my last town...classed as a welfare town... the council payed a very well known local graffiti artist to paint all the bus shelters and blank shop walls. He was so well known by the gangs and kids that no one has dared to tag or destroy his work. It was a top class job too.

Graffiti can make a town imo and not the stupid tagging, the art, the meaningful ones.....even something as simple as some guys fence up here, he had GO COWBOYS! sprayed on it. Then Yasi came and tore his fence down......we locals miss it.

Tmo I will take a pic of some art across from the barricks....nice work in itself but someone has come and added some more to it.
Will be interesting to see what people think of it.

I liked this one, that was done on the small underpass (under the train line)where I drove by frequently. It stayed there for quite awhile, then the council painted over it. Some ole granny probably complained about it, ha.

Same person also did another small one of a rat peeking around a corner on the brickwork of a shop.
