I like threads like this where you find out stuff that is going on in other areas, with input from people in that area, as the OP is.

Looks like some people don't read their local paper regularly to keep themselves up to date with local controversies.

I've had a bit more to deal with at a local and personal level recently .

No mosque where I am, we have an Sikh temple as there are a lot of Indians where I am..

 

I can't imagine it will be too long before we have a mosque, given the amount of refugees we seem to end up with.

You keep using that word, I do not think it means what you think it means

If you had to get stuck with any religious institution in your 'backyard' best that it would be a synagog or a mosque - both religions are unable to drive on their religious days so they have to walk. So not sure why parking is always used as an excuse by the anti-groups.

 

And yes I do live near a massive mosque with a multitude of smaller ones in the suburb around me. The biggest issue for me is dodging whole families walking to their mosque as I drive around.
