What should the ideal ratio be?  How is it determined?

It is determined by $$$$$.  IMO the ratio should be no less than one carer to two babies. Otherwise, they will suffer.

Haven't they just fought to get the 1:4 for under 2's and 1:5:  for over 2 yo brought in and not all centres have brought that in yet?

For a centre with 25 children - for small babies (under 6mths old)  how many of those would they accept in the under 2 category.

Another recent change was all staff must have Child Care certificates?

Anyway, the childcare centre in question is meeting its requirements, so no slight on its owner/management in that respect.

This thread is about finding our prime ministers wife, it's not about childcare ratios. Please try to stay on topic or start another thread 🙂

Nero, Abbott knew that house had been rented for the prime minister, it was well publicised at the time. The house was chosen because it had appropriate security.

However, it didnt fit into Abbott's agreement with his wife, allegedly 😄

Margie certainly appeared supportive prior to the election. She attended plenty of functions and three word slogan rallies. She and the daughters wore their free designer wear frocks to various evemts. So suggesting she is shy or doesn't like publicity can't be right because people don't change just like that.

How disappointed her NZ family must be.

I hope someone finds her soon!
.

She did something on International Women's Day, I can't remember what it was but it was on Tony Abbott's sister's twitter if that helps 🙂

Sorry, JMK, I thought it would be natural progression from  brainwashing at toddler bootcamps to childcare ratios Woman LOL

well, does that mean we need to be lobbying for mothers to only have 2 children at a time?

Most care centres (and this one is occasional care) have more than 4 babies in a nursery, so probably 2 carers at a time. I have cared for grandchildren on my own,  while parents worked. 4 of them are the same age, within months of each other. It was do-able, none neglected.

That's ok meep, you can talk off topic because you found a bit of her 😄
