I agree with martini.

Some people are just pedantic.

I think these things can be done in creative writing to 'get into/create a character'  ?

If someone has the education to know that they are spelling something wrong (indicated by the use of apostrophes ..it can read as though the writer is  deliberately choosing to do that for some reason rather than it being natural  ?

Have you noticed people doing that before buzz pointed it out?

yes ..several.one writes sock/fish  language, one voted for the wrong political party (not around now) and I have read many of lobs posts.

Or perhaps said person is being natural?

Of course the writer is choosing to do it deliberately. In order to invoke her natural way of speech.

I don't get the issue.

And the reason why they shouldn't type like that and be criticised for doing so, in an informal setting such as a forum is?

For example, am has just written an incorrect sentence (grammaticall) by putting a question mark at the end of an unformed sentence.

I can immediately visualise her tone, personality and I imagine she would form a sentence like this in real life when faced with a puzzling scenario.

If she were writing a work of non-fiction I doubt she would do this cause she obviously knows better.

Cause?

You people who are good at english must cringe whenever I write something, my english skills are terrible. I never know where to put commas and I wouldnt be able to tell you the definition of a verb. I'm better with numbers than words

I dont think it matters much, everyones style of writing, as long as they get their point across.

I don't usually criticise others for mistakes in spelling or grammar. (glass houses and all that)

But sometimes the temptation is too great to resist. 😉
