A dishwasher could be more valuable for people that work full time also, than someone who does not and has more time to spend on jobs in the home. Getting home after 6pm, cooking dinner, and being able to stick the dishes in the dishwasher, saves valuable time in the evening.

I had 4 dish washers once, stupid things kept breaking stuff!.......

then they grew up and left home lol

I had a new kitchen fitted last year, the sales rep couldn't believe I only wanted a single sink and NO DISHWASHER!

I love having a dishwasher. The one I have now, in a place I have recently moved to, washes the best of any I have had. The glass is sparkling, the pots are shiny. It is a fairly basic model, nothing fancy.

I don't know how long the cycle is.  turn it on after 11pm to make use of the off peak electricity. Or turn it on in the morning on way to work, so not here when it finishes.

Since when do you work?

I'd love to have a dishwasher, but it's not an option for us in rental accommodation.

It'd be like having a Mercedes over a pushbike IMO.

Since when do you work?

Since 1978.

1975 to be accurate.
