I don't discuss sex with strangers or friends either. CS is a good example of many things - not discussing politics and religion aren't among them. I was also born in the 60's and we even did politics in school and religion.

just checked the egg thread, no politics or religion there. Argument on the first page. Had a look at a couple of other non-political threads, looked like a bit of bullying going on, so it seems it doesn't really matter what the topic is. Fursday and caturday are pretty safe  though, so far.
