Does anyone on CS ever think that if there is a post advising an OP to post the thread on CS that maybe it was not there in the first place?

I regularly get told off for suggesting that a thread would be better on CS than on the ebay help boards.   I am not an idiot and I do know what board I am posting on....I don't need it pointed out to me that it is on CS (where the mods have relocated it, not where it started out).

It does make people look silly at times - surely the mods could write it in the OP - Moved from by MOD etc.

I am sure I have seen that written on some of the threads?

Like a few others when I first saw your reply Lyndal, I thought 'huh' then when the OP answered I figured what must have happenned.

thanks for the responses.  I have rang a breeder and talked for an hour about birman cats.  I could hear them meowing alot and not sure i would handle a talkative cat that follows you all day.  We went to the rspca saw a cute black kitten but he was very quiet and timid.  Oh gosh not sure what to do

If you dont want a talkitive cat then stay away from the demanding breeds like siamese..orientals..abysinnians Rex breeds &..bengals...just to name a few..Birmans and ragdolls in general are not very vocal ..Ragdolls are definatley great with families and young children.Quiet breeds that like to chill out and be couch potatoes include persians..scottish folds ..British shorthairs..selkirk rex  ect..Burmese are fabulous as they are less vocal than siamese and tonkinese and so much fun ( more dog like than any thing..

The ragdoll I know is very vocal, she meows at the window, at the door, for food, for attention.  Not that it makes me like her any less but imho it's a lucky dip with ALL cats.  Just because certain breeds are meant to display certain traits doesn't necessarily mean they will all end up displaying these traits (or not) iykwim.

My advice to the OP is go for the rspca kitten.  I've always taken in orphan/unwanted animals, never had a preference for what breed or colour and my animals have always been lovely.  My tortoise shell cat was fully feral, well not fully feral but her dad was/is and shes a wonderful cat, quiet, never wonders, affectionate (when she wants to be lol) toilet trained ect.  I personally think people spend too much time worrying about what breed to get that they forget the real reason they wanted the thing io the first place.
