We have two very excited grandsons today.
The Lego Movie opens today.
They both keep saying one of Batman's lines fromthe movie.............."I only work in black...................or sometimes very very dark gray."
Our eldest grand daughter went on a school excursion yesterday and got to pat a shark............she was quite impressed.
Her brother wasn't though.............he wished it was him................but they are in different classes this year.

Morning everyone.
I like that line Flashie 😄 It sounds like it might be not too unbearable for the parents to watch with the little ones.
I have noticed that there is usually a bit of adult humour in kids movies to amuse the parents too. It's a bit like watching John Hamblin in Playschool.

Did I ever tell you the story about the time I was on play school? 😄
Well, I'll tell you.
It was years and years ago and I went to China Town with a bunch of friends. It was Chinese New Year so there were thousands of people.
First we went to a restaurant and had a feast, then got kicked out for being too rowdy lol. I wasn't, of course, it was my rowdy friends. Gee they were rowdy *frowns*.
Then we went out on the street to watch the dragon parade. We were poor uni students and I used to drink back then, so we had coke bottles topped up with a little too much bourbon. Perhaps it was a lot too much. Perhaps also, that was the reason we were unceremoniously booted from the restaurant.
Anyway, there were were, guzzling on our loaded coke bottles, acting like buffoons, cheering and hollering at the magnificent Chinese dragon.
About a year later I flicked on the TV and the presenter did the window thing..."today we're looking though the square window"
OMG! Can u guess what the kiddies saw through that window?
Yes, it was the Chinese dragon, with my buffoon friends (and me 😄 ) cavorting right in the middle of the shot, coke bottles held high haha
It was just so random to turn on the telly and see that!
That's my 2 mins of fame.

a round one would be better Karen ![]()
we've had no power since early this morning. Apparently a power pole was on fire at the end of our street. These privatised companies never maintain anything until something goes horribly wrong

That's bad Deb but think of it happening out in the countryside. It can be disastrous.
