but in Japan it isn't paid by the state but by the individual offender, meaning of course that if you are wealthy you are in a position to pay your way out, depending on the crime i think. I would have liked the situation a whole lot more if money wasn't involved. I don't get why a law would leave immunity up to those who can generate enough money to buy it.

 

In this country it often depends on who can generate enough money to "buy" a top lawyer.

Anyway,I havent read the article-its from Newscorp,so can you blame me?-but if a life has been spared,I'm satisfied.I don't agree with state sanctioned murder at all.
