In that case Donna i reiterate my in initial post to get the thread back on track.

If a person is breaking the law, it should be brought to the attention of the proper authorities, in fact everyone has a legal obligation to do just that.

But of course there are those who "don't want to get involved" and turn a blind eye to child abusers, rapists, murderers, thieves, grievous bodily harmers, welfare fraudsters, dangerous drivers,.............where does the list end?

I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.

You tagged it yourself lol

.

Did you read the link, poddy? It's about the LNP government attempting to stamp out criticism by encouraging employees to report colleagues who criticise the government.

There's a summary for you.

Why don't you start a thread about those things poddy, it is clear to the observant that I am having a shot at the governments new gag.

Is this your daily diss?

Every citizen should be alarmed about these rules. It's not ok for governments in a democracy to stifle / ban opinions negative to a government, nor intimidate their staff.

On the one hand this govt promoted the "right to be bigots" and "free speech", and on the other they adopt litigious, dictatorial attitudes to prevent people from having an opinion.

Not ok.

you probably don't know but it all happened before.

what is happening here now reminds me of the STASI.

if you can't be bothered (like i) to read many pages of boring stuff you can watch "the life of others" instead to get a faint idea.

I do know a little schoolbook info about the STASI and it is like that,.... well, heading in that direction.

The amount of spying and data retention on citizens (and neighbours) is another thing that is not ok, IMO.
