I called my local Council last week to get a ranger asap who arrived within 10 miinutes..
A neighbour was cutting down trees on lakefront public land to enhance their view.
They were caught in the act (which is why the ranger came right away), and they are in one heap of trouble
..
Am I a dobber? ..

The govt. may be able to control a lot of things but they'll never be able to control what people think , it seems they hope they can. It's very alarming IMO
maybe the govt can not control what we think but business does and they are already doing it and have done so since 2ww. i find that just as bad.

So dobbing on your workmates would be a no no?
Donna, it depends on what the issue is.
If a workmate is stealing, discussing confidential matters, slandering, et al it should be reported.
If the workmate is only giving a personal opinion (based on fact) it is a no no.

I'm not comfortable with any govt. Having a clear mandate here, the power goes to their heads
Freshwater, I would do the same in the blink of an eyelid.

Debra. I don't think that the neighbours will be asking me in for a cuppa any day soon..
I knocked on their door and told them it was ME ME ME who reported them.
I didn't want them blaming some other neighbour..

Why on earth would they cut down trees? There is nothing more beautiful than a view of trees and nature.

Joono, people along the coast do it here too, often at night, to get ocean views from their homes
