Really hate this term it's akin to calling a woman an incubator

Sadly some women use random men as "sperm donors" to be able to collect the single mothers pension. The men become redundant  and react after being sidelined as parents.

Sorry Kilroy, but if it helps, that's exactly the term one could use for Hubby's 'mother'.

The officers that saved the little girl are being considered for commendations, I just saw on the news she is recovering very well and may be released from hospital soon.

I agree icy ,either actual or perceived men seem to be automatically at fault or not worthy parents this causes frustration which is resulting in these horrible and barbaric acts of cruelty , it in no way excuses these acts and the men need to be dealt with , with the full force of the law and no remission or plea bargains , but we must as a society start giving men back the feel of worth in family matters or we will continue to see more and more of these horrible crimes

Sorry Kilroy, but that is just bs.

What is an "actual" man, and what is a "perceived" man?

What so many men are, is actual as well as perceived, b a stards.

How can we fix this? Address the education system which turns them out on a depressingly regular basis?

Maybe we should address the culture of our society, with its' emphasis on macho-man pursuits at the expense of education in the finer things of life, like art, theatre and music.

Maybe it's that men in our society feel that they have so much personal "worth" already that the worth of those with whom they interact fades into such obsurity that it becomes inconsequential and therefore, inconsiderable.

"We need to act as a society" . . . we need to urgently address the reasons why we are producing so many uncultured and dangerous people, masquerading as responsible citizens.

To quote a famous past politician . . . "What can you bloody do?"

Excuse me, but you are demonizing the authentic donors who provide a valuable service. Call em what they are, criminals.

Thank you.

Agreed.

i'd love to hear the plan of action .

Sorry to disappoint you , I'm not sure I have one , but a good starting point would be a review of the family law legislation

i'm not disappointed. if anyone had an answer (i mean a genuinely workable one that might achieve any kind of result at all ) i'd be surprised Smiley Happy

There has to be one , one where both sides feel worth while , the problem is if a couple were able to meet an equitable compromise the chances are that they would not be in the courts to begin with
