If I make a wooden platter or a bowl, what do I do to it to seal it and polish it etc to make it look nice and shiny and be able to use it to serve food in/on?
Do I use Beeswax?

Danish Oil. Try to get it from a Hardware Store or a Timber Supply. It is food safe, does not go rancid like other oils and gives a splendid shine when applied the right way. Instructions are on the tin.

Thanks Erica.
I'll have a go, I was a bit concerned about the other oils going rancid, I did do some research and some people seemed to be using beeswax, but then everywhere I looked, the ingredients in it (turpentine???? Seriously???) didn't seem to be food safe.

Whatever you use, use it sparingly so it isn't sticky for life.

Yeah, I saw, but then I also researched what I had to do to it to use it, and it said to mix turps into it and some other stuff
