I made it more as a stew because I don't like to add flour to this kind of meal.  You can add flour at the end to thicken it up but I like them more liquidish.

I use Psyllium husk in anything needing thickening, it's a good source of dietary fibre.

Happy Mother's Day to all the women in this thread. In some way or another we are all mums. 

I don't want to think of this thread as a women's club as genuinely friendly male posters are always welcome here (Hi Towie 🙂 ) but I have to say I feel like I post amongst the most extraordinarily brave, strong, stoic women.

Good morning everyone and a great big Happy Mothers Day!!  One of mine is still sleeping and my other son is on his way back hopefully from Bunbury soon.

Thanks for that tip Freddie.  I think I have seen Psyllium husk used as a thickening ingredient in another recipe recently.  I must try that out soon.
