Speaking of goodies and baddies, I'm in love with my new slow cooker.

If you have never tried a beef and stout casserole then you have got to try this one.  It's on the taste dotcom website.  It was so delish and my son came back for seconds and thirds.

I made it more as a stew because I don't like to add flour to this kind of meal.  You can add flour at the end to thicken it up but I like them more liquidish.

One for the journal! 😄

Saved!!

I use Psyllium husk in anything needing thickening, it's a good source of dietary fibre.

Happy Mother's Day to one and all, i've been up ironing since 6a.m. I don't have time for Mother's Day i'm always too busy making MD special for the Princess lol.

Towie, I do believe there are a few stragglers still lurking.

Happy Mothers Day ladies,

I thought you'd all still be in bed

Thanks Nic, Val, & Freddie

Freddie, you need to take some time out for yourself. did I see you say ironing??? oh NO!!! not today lol

Happy Mothers day everyone.

Good morning Stringsters

Happy Mother's Day to all the women in this thread. In some way or another we are all mums.

I don't want to think of this thread as a women's club as genuinely friendly male posters are always welcome here (Hi Towie 🙂 ) but I have to say I feel like I post amongst the most extraordinarily brave, strong, stoic women.

Flashie, I am speechless....

Freddie, I hope you feel the "Princess" feels loved today. I take my hat off to you, you are a very strong woman.

Joono, glad the cooker is what you wanted.

Deb, I am so very sorry your friend didn't make it. Thankfully there was no suffering for him. Those who had to make hard decisions will need lots of love and care for quite a while.

Nics, I hope you had a wonderful day. Yay for Yea!

Good morning everyone and a great big Happy Mothers Day!!  One of mine is still sleeping and my other son is on his way back hopefully from Bunbury soon.

Thanks for that tip Freddie.  I think I have seen Psyllium husk used as a thickening ingredient in another recipe recently.  I must try that out soon.

Purple, nice to see you drop in.  Have a lovely day too.

Joono
