iPad iPhone photo sharing question

I have just got a new iPad. How do I get some (about 120) photos from my iPhone to my iPad? I have iCloud turned on on both so any new photos are automatically shared, but am having trouble with old ones.
Step by step would be good for this technophobe 🙂

If there aren't many, I email them or message them (you need to turn messenger on on your iPad) I have also been told you can get a cord with the right fittings to transfer them.

Have you waited ages? Sometimes it's just a bit slow getting there.

If the old ones are in icloud a sync should share them.

I'm very slowly sharing them via shared streams, but was hoping there might be an easier way.
They aren't on the cloud, just on the phone
