What irony!
The Liberal Party state that a small demonstration with some loud jeering from students is tatamount to "assault". Assault?? When all they were doing were shouting and she was whisked away in seconds. The only pushing seems to have come from her minders who manhandled the students out of the way.
And yet accept that a student can intimidate and be agressive toward a lone female when said agressor cornered her in a corridoor and slammed his fist on a wall just to the side of her head.
PS. I know I have said it before but clearly I need to keep repeating the same thing over - demonstrating is not against the law in this (democratic) country.

Because the issue of what this govt has just done to our university system needs to be howled down.
Good on them.

Oh the irony....
Federal budget fills coffers for Liberal Party
The federal budget will cost families thousands of dollars in tax hikes, rising medical costs and reduced benefits, but the Liberal Party will raise hundreds of thousands of dollars from a slew of budget-related fund-raising events.

Can you imagine the uproar if this was done to Gillard... I mean a few protesters held banner that called her a **bleep** and they all went off the rails... if Gillard was pushed and shoved like this the left would be protesting in force.
