I hope your friend likes the soup maker Tas.

Chilled soups have never tempted me but I am sure I could be missing out. They seem so popular.

Asian soups use chicken stock so as a vego I miss out. I wish they had another stock option as their soups are known to be healthy and tasty. Hubby loves them.

I think Massel chicken stock is actually vegan, Julie.  It's chicken stock made with vegetables somehow.  You could try that and if you were doing Asian then just sauteing some garlic and ginger and adding a little bit of sesame oil it would be pretty good.

Joono

I was just going to say that j'oono.  My cousin had cancer and became a vegan and it was one of the stocks he could use.  Also no artificial anything in it.

Thanks Joono I use Massel, yes it has no chicken. Will try your tip and make it at home, would have liked to try it when eating out as I imagine they taste great and authentic. Though going by hubby not all of them make it well.

Hubby is right Julie, I have tried heaps (when I used to live in Melbourne) and some of them are horrible.  But if you are ever in Footscray or Sunshine I can definately reccommend a place called Phu Vinh (The noodle shop) they just make the most tastiest noodle soup ever.  It is so fresh and wholesome.

And I'm with all those that reccommend Massel chicken stock, I use it in everything it's brilliant 🙂

'How do you like your soup?'

Preferably in the bowl.

Thanks for the tip SW. Will keep it in mind if we are over that way.

Is the Massel chicken stock the one that is vegetarian (even though it is chicken flavour)?  I should try that.

those who have soup makers - which brand is best?

No idea, mine is a Kambrook
