I got an email yesterday as did my daughter, she thought it was a scam but I pointed out there was no link in the email, it said to go to ebay and change it.

The one I got said to go and change it, but I already had done it,

Seems they are a bit slow on letting people know and they wouldnt know who had changed their p/word and who hadnt.

Given the number of people they need to advise, I suppose that it takes time.

There was a link on the front page advising ebay members as well.

I didnt see the front page.

There would be alot of users that dont come into ebay often, hope they keep the password update on top of the pages for awhile.

i got an email asking me to change password on my other ebay account but not this one, weird!

How come it never made the news when I hacked the old chinwag board and force redirected members to the goatse website?

I changed my password but I wonder what they think is a strong password?  For goodness sake, it wasn't a real word and it includes numbers and yet it was classed as weak.

What is a strong password then?  Something that even the real account holder couldn't remember unless they wrote it down?

That does worry me a bit because ebay could deny compensation because they told you that you had a weak password.

Signatures suck.

Well for a start that one wouldn't pass Joz because it has to have a combination of letters and symbols or letters and numbers or numbers and symbols or a combination of both.   Mine has all three and it is classed as weak. Except I don't have upper case and lower case letters.
