I have some old Hills saucepans that hubby brought to the marriage.

I 'd get more if I could, they're still going strong, just not red anymore.

That's the brand I have which are 45 years old.  I don't think they are available now.

Shame isn't it?

These ones were solid - every other pan we've had needs handles and lid screws tightened.

Apparently Smiley LOL

p.s.  dear spelling police, I can spell vegetable and seriously.

my handles get hot and I have to use a pot holder

so you say now..............

they sound great ttt, the older things seem to be made to last longer than the newer stuff

Pimpy, I've been in a locust plague too, crunch, crunch, awful especailly when they fly into your  hair & onto your skin

weird how you can see them blow in on the wind IYKWIM

Wouldn't they fry in the oil on the car??  lol

My handles get hot too. Not straight away, but by the time I've finished burning cooking they are too hot to hold

Yep. Men are idiots

I got a black eye once from a Locust, flew up and hit me in the eye, it was HUGE. Thought I had been hit by a bird.

I was walking on farm land in Twead Heads.

I have one of those expensive stone ware pans, it has changed colour and I am not that impressed with it, no good for frying eggs.

I don't do bugs too well. If I had a locust fly at me (even dear little green forgs) I start break dancing. Not pretty.

I bought a super expensive Le Crueset or something and couldnt lift it and from memory it went rusty!!

TTT, someone gave me 3 of those large pots for Christmas last year, and I can hardly lift them while they're empty. I've never used them because I don't know how I'd manage them when they're hot with food in them.
