LIMES

I have a tree full of limes. This is the first year they have been in quantity. I would like to make lime marmalade. I am looking for some tips from CS members please. If you have a tried and true recipe could you please post it. The ones I find on google are varied, so I need some practical help. Any other recipes using limes would be good too. Thanks in advance.

Hi Katy

I love limes and lime marmalade but I've never made any. All I know is you have to use equal weight of sugar to fruit and stir over heat until it sets.

If that helps Woman LOL

good luck with it!

Should have done it a few weeks ago, but OH wants to help, and he has a broken right hand. This could end badly.

Don't let him near the pot if he is incapacitated Katy.  Nothing burns as badly as sugar.

Joono

I think it will be me attending the stove Joono. I doubt he can do anything really. I just went out and picked a bag full of limes for my sister in law. They are starting to drop, so I think tomorrow will be the day.

I read through my antique cookbooks, and found almost zero re. limes. One book is called The Radiation Cookbook. I think I will give that one a miss. 🙂

Thanks Icy, that sounds sensible. I might give that one a go.

I've recently discoverd the usefulness of youtube other than looking up old favourite songs lol
