World Cup ?

Make it go away. photo wail_zps70b0748c.gif

Every time you switch the TV on, there it is. Matches, interviews, sound bites, strategies, post-mortems, interviews - even the adverts are football orientated. It surreptitiously creeps into programmes that have nothing to do with sport, and almost half the news bulletins are given over to this boring and over-the-top event. Roll on the end of July until it's well and truly dead and buried - maybe

It seem it's only the TV stations that are in a frenzy about this circus. I certainly haven't seen any enthusiasm in the streets.

Well some people seem to love it EMB, the 2010 World Cup the average official rating was 188.4 million for each match.Woman LOL Mr Boris says "Just close your eyes and think of England". Woman LOL

has been excellent so fa..............so many goals

good to see attacking football, compared to dour defensive games.

and so many players prepared to pull the trigger from outside of the box, all ways makes for exciting games

Agree, and a couple of upsets makes it very interesting.

Really wanted England to win.  But sooo pleased for Costa Rica and Ivory Coast.

Next very big game is Germany - Portugal.

To me, soccer is disorganized chaos, as is rugby, while AFL footie is only slightly better............compared to the choreographed precision of american football.

This is why they call it the "blur" offense........

I'm not a big football fan but I think there is more action in soccer.

In American football, fifteen minutes can pass and nothing hardly happens.  At least with soccer, the ball moves around.

Hi Bob.

So sorry off topic but do you ask religious stuff here in Australia?  Do they have the same patience with it?  I mean, I never had patience for it but I know others do.

And to stay on topic (hey, I've learned I can't be too careful lol) do you think the Americans will win if they pray really hard, with their hands on the Bible?

Then obviously you have never watched an Oregon game............and I've never seen a 0-0 tie in American football...........

35 points in the first half...........

Watch the start of the fiesta bowl at 1:07........

Obviously you didn't see the word "can".

Like I said, I watch Oregon football, and "can" isn't really a buzzword.........
