First kitchen we did I went for the matt ...didn't want finger prints etc .
Was disappointed ..
Looked dull and a bit boring ..

2nd kitchen went for a diamond gloss ...love it !

No harder to wipe down then the flat IMO!

Must depend on the house/kitchen, I dont think mine looks boring at all

Flannie, even the cupboard doors?  (shiny)

Mother in law has glossy finish everything including the doors. It does look good, but then so did her last kitchen in matt.

picking the right colour(s) is important too.

Buttercup: You mock my pain! Man in Black: Life is pain, Highness. Anyone who says differently is selling something.

I think it also depends on the house, ours is a 100 yr old cottage and I think the cupboards we chose suit it, I didnt want the real "modern" look

Well I'm going to look at the matt too..........I love the shiny ones but I do worry about keeping it beautiful all the time.

And I really want white, I'm into white everything at the moment.  I'm getting venetians too and in white.

Thanks everyone x

No cupboards are not shiny crystal ...

Karabine..... Like amber said the right colours make the difference ..

We had a very pushy kitchen specialist ...

Should have stood my ground ...

Didn't get him the second time !

We just bought ours from Mitre 10, hubs installed it, I am pretty happy with it. We still have paint and re tile the walls and do the floor, but so far so good
