amber, would i be correct in thinking you don't eat out?

taste my religion! nibble a witch! 😄

Several times a week, my dad has owned restaurants for over twenty years.

I have heard some things and certainly seen them.

quite a few places now have that open feel, you know, bistro-like where you can see through to the kitchens.

Have you heard of Chapel St? It is quite the tourist spot, and very nice to visit for a bite to eat and some shopping.

not far from the CBD either.

how are you, sin? 🙂

I personally don't like the open feel.

The last thing I want to see and hear is the rush and bustle and banging and clanging.  That is far from relaxing.

And diners  talk louder because of that noise. .....either over the table........or on their phones (mostly):smileyvery-happy:

DEB

It can be a little bit of theatre though...the noise and movement 🙂

the laneways in the CBD are pretty cool...living right near them now so plenty of places to choose from for a night out.

Have you only just noticed that Cherples?  Some serious problems on the boards now.

Serious indeed, I was shocked to see the initial  comments put out on my fun thread, and the alacrity of some to join in with the spite.

I have been away from the boards for some time and did not comment for reasons only a few know on here but I do enjoy crikey's fun threads and thought that I would start one myself to avoid any conflict, result?? not nice and some very harsh comments like I need to learn??.

Back to the Martini, Gordons gin is a must and Noilly Prat extra dry vermouth, I like mine very very  dry with a twist of bitter lemon.
