On thanksgiving day, 1999 my daughter and I picked up a little black cocker pup, whose owners had decided to part with her. She was in a back yard that was nothing but mud.
We took her home, gave her a nice bath, and named her "Cleopatra", following our previous cockers, Andy and Bailey.
Around the time we obtained our newest cocker, Darwin, we noticed that Cleo would literally "smell" her way around the house. The last four years, her eyesight has become progressively worse, and to top it off, her hearing went South too............

I have two Bengals Cinders and Charm (Cinderella and Prince Charming) They are interesting furry family aren't they.
I also have a 16.5 year old poodle who has lost most of her sight and hearing. She hears a certain pitch so I have to adopt the fishmongers wife's dulcet tones when calling her. I think her sight has almost gone now.
She seems happy enough though.
