If they are in denial - as they appear to have been - then a guilty verdict isn't going to change their belief in his innocence.

I'm not convinced his wife believes he is innocent, not sure about the rest of the family though.

In that link there are apparently more charges that might be brought against him.

It looks like he screwed her over as well. 

The way he grips her hand and the discussions about the will make me wonder if it's a payoff for his inappropriate affection for her too.

She comes across as a little girl in a woman's body around him.
