I am sorry, I don't agree that it is a "lesser" term, either is as bad as the other.

 

So I should just keep referring to the man who repeatedly violently raped me as a child as a "kiddie fiddler" rather than the rapist that he was then. Words do matter. 

Why do people get Gay people mixed up with pedophiles, surely in this day and age there is enough info so people can tell  the difference.!!!!

I've seen plenty of remorseful murderers and rapists,most of the remorse is either acting or remorse in the fact they were caught!
