What Do People Mean

when they say "You have to accept me as I am"

take it, or leave it?

Signatures suck.

"I don't think enough of you to go to the trouble to inhibit or change the characteristics of mine that you find distasteful"

Some people can go their whole lives and never really live for a single minute.

don't try and change me.

I like is it suits the person so well.  But why do they think that we all should change when they won't.

because they think the worlds revolves around them. You are best without this person in your life if they are not willing to compromise. It's give and take in any relationship, friendship or otherwise.

it means they are who they are, like it or lump it.

if you feel the need to change a person to have any sort of relationship with them, and they are unwilling or incapable of that change  then its a fair bet that relationship was not meant to be and wouldn't last anyway.

Sometimes (often?) it's code for "I think I'm perfect and therefore have nothing to learn about myself and no interest in learning about anyone else and how they may see things differently........ "

Just my opinion,

Marina.

and sometimes it means if you don't like who i am,why haven't you walked away, instead of trying to turn me into YOUR version of the perfect person? if that's what you want, find it.

just sayin...
