Please excuse me while I google that name Mugs 😄

I didn't watch properly tonight but I saw Ben is in trouble.  Possibly he is the only New Zealander I have ever liked apart from Cath.

OMG how silly am I?  He is the Italian chef that Jamie Oliver has studied under.  Sorry.  Hangs head in shame.

I would not eat that risotto if you paid me. What a load of nonsense! And the waste that was created by that dish was shameful. The contestants should been given extra brownie points just for keeping up with Heston 🙂

Antonio Carluccio's cooking is more my 'style' of cooking Smiley Happy

His risottos have far more eye appeal than that mess on MC last night.

I am talking about the cooking rather than the individuals.

I do hope Ben survives.  He seems a very likeable person j*oono

.

Middle daughter and I braved the crowds and went to the Perth food and wine festival on Sunday, Lis and I went a few years ago and it was ok, not much food and wine more potato peelers mixers coffee machines and pans, like a trade show BUT this year it was GREAT! Lots of food and wine to buy and taste. Middle daughter works in the wine industry (sort of) and got quite tipsy trying what she sells.
Antonio was doing a show while we were there but he is such a quietly spoken man that we gave up trying to hear him and went off in search of more yummies!

Did you meet George, Mugsy?  I think he was there this year wasn't he?

Interesting challenge this evening in very difficult conditions.  Imagine having to work like that with everyone else in such a small space Smiley Surprised

Amy really is hitting her straps now.  I was not so keen on her at the outset but have warmed to her as the series has progressed.

Afraid I cannot say the same about Jamie!  Not sure what it is but there is an arrogance about him I find off-putting.

Amy's surf and turf certainly was not would I would have expected or chosen but it certainly looked delicious.

Laura's pasta looked delicious - what little there was of it - but that might just have been because I am biased lol

.

I think George was there earlier in the week.
I missed tonight's show entirely, will have to catch up on line.

I would not like to have to cook in those conditions day after day after day.  I often wonder if any of them have a rethink of their hopeful future careers once they have done a stint in such kitchens?

The spatchcock looked delicious, that got my vote.

Mugs, no wonder you missed the show.

Thank you for rescuing my sister!  I didn't realise that you had taken her to the hospital last night.  I thought it was one of her daughters but of course they are all away for a couple of days.

She was texting us last night from the hospital.  Silly duffer biggrin2.gif

I will be round her place shortly and she can teach me how to work her coffee machine.
