Glad you're happy, Lurker. Good food is WONDERFUL, isn't it?

Joono, what was wrong with your bread?

Haha it's dolls house miniature Katy.  They are made with fimo clay and pastel colouring.

Joono

Joono ... another miniature person?

I made this fruit stall using a miniature "wagon" with tiny fruits for sale in little baskets, with bead fruits decorating the wagon. And, a garden scene ...

Looks like tomorrow's breakfast is organised ... tacos tonight, mince on toast tomorrow 🙂 🙂 🙂

That sounds very impressive Katy!  These breads are the only clay models I have had any success with.  I'm not that much of an artist.

I guess I am a bit like that with real bread too.  It is fun to make sometimes but I've never had real success.  One that did work was quite like the recipe that you posted.

Joono

Oh, Joono, I should say that I didn't make the fruit, I bought it on eBay ... I just "arranged" it, gave it a setting.

Try the recipe I posted. It's so easy ... I even did a few things differently and it still worked. It was the first time I really felt in control of a bread recipe, IYKWIM. I made the first loaf like a baguette, then the second one more like a cottage loaf ... I keep thinking of all these things I could add, like garlic and herbs, cheese, chocolate drops 😉

Thanks Katy.  I will bookmark the recipe.

Joono

Thanks KatyD. I will try the recipe. With lots of sesame seeds on top. I love sesame seed bread.

did someone mention home made crumpets? Could we have the recipe pls?

Joono and KatyM ... I look forward to your stories on how the bread turned out and how you modified it.

This one looks ok, but I haven't tried it.

I'm thinking that the poached egg rings might work for this ???
