Donna, are you referring to my post #138.  If so, it's a passionfruit on the vine.

He he he, I was wondering what this blown up balloon thing was you were talking about and thought I have to go and have a look at that picture, but then I realised it's my post you're talking about.

🙂  That's the one!

I don't know that I've ever seen one.  If so, not while it was green.

Do you grow them?   The dried odd-looking stem - is each part sticking down where a fruit USED to be?

The photos I've seen of them looked like a single stem.

Thank you for giving me something new to learn about.

Donna

Yes Donna we grow them or should I say OH does.  I don't like them myself.  I didn't take the photo for the green thread, I actually took it a couple of weeks ago as I liked how it looked.

I just took another couple now and it seems they are all the same with the dry bit at the top.  I do believe they are yellow passionfruit. (OH is asleep otherwise I would ask him lol).

Great looking passionfruit 🙂 We have not long bought a house with a large passion friut vine in the b/y, I know nothing about them, do they fruit in summer or winter? We are in a very cold area of Vic, so I guess that makes a difference re fruiting as well.

This is my favourite photo this week
