Any person that felt "slurred" can taken an action.  Why they did not?  Because stating a fact, or depicting it in cartoon is NOT a slur.  And it is a fact that Israelis have been sitting on the hill and watching as Gaza was being bombed, and cheered. 

 

To mention that has nothing to do with Jewish people in Australia.  Unless they also cheered as they watched Gaza being flattened, and innocent people being killed, maimed and left homeless, in city without drinkable water and without power.

I don't see the Jewish people in Australia calling for a fatwa because they, and their religion was offended. So yes, a cartoon can be vilification, intimidating, offensive, and the social media anti Semitism would not be tolerated if any other religion did this.

If the people you talk about feel threatened, intimidated or harrassed they have every right to lodge a complaint. Why ask here what happened to 18C.  Advise the people affected to make a complaint.

Why do you twist people's words and accuse people of meaning something other than what they have written?

 

I notice you still didn't answer the one question I asked. Did you read the offending Mike Carlton articles and the relevant background information and photos yet?  On the one hand you've said you would never read him because he is whatever the name of the day is and on the other you claim to know what he wrote, what he was thinking when he wrote and why he wrote what he wrote.  

 

Perhaps a job in mind reading would suit.
