Catching guinea fowl.

One I have caught 3 times the blardy houdini

 

So any volunteers my place about 5pm thanks Woman LOL

Oh I dream of owning my own little flock of guinea fowl....don't shatter my illusion Channy's Mum!

Oh I love them....there used to be a flock near where I worked...they would wander the streets in the early hours of the morning then be home in time for peak traffic...

 

I find them really peaceful....esp in a paddock or vineyard

I do too. They come when they are if you raise them from little as I have done with all mine.

Forgot to say that whilst they come when they are called they wont let you catch them.

When I was very young, we had a poultry farm.  

 

Dad made a "chook crook".  A piece of 8guage wire, about 3 foot long. One end curved to come back down the main stem for about 6 inches.  

 

Catch them around the ankles - not the neckSmiley Happy

Why do you need to catch them?

I forgot to add :  twirl the ends away from the straight length like a kiss-curl to prevent damage to the prey and yourself.
