I agree with Azureline.  I think you should tile to the top of the refrigerator.

Would have to think about that, dont really like the thought of tiles being that heigth right along to wall, to me it would look strange

Plate rack looks great installed.

My 2c worth re the tiles.

Colour:  the same as the bench top

Height:  1 tile high behind the cupboards; as high as the bottom of the rangehood when it is installed above the stove.

The scene is getting "busy" in my opinion.  I don't like surgical blank, but I dislike crowdiness in a kitchen.  And there are starting to be too many patterns (cupboard fronts, plate rack, stove, micro, power points, along with the bits and pieces of benchtop paraphenalia).  And then tile design.

Of course, this is your kitchen, Bushie (forgot the other name K....) but you have asked our opinions.Smiley Embarassed

DEB

Deb, I tend to agree re "busyness", I was thinking of tiling as high as the bottom of the plate rack, then as you suggested going higher up behind the cooktop the the start of the rangehood  but only above the cook top, back to the same height as the bottom of the plate rack on the other side ( hope that makes sense )   .... Ah the joys of renovating lol   bushie is fine, I have 2 selling id's n keep forgetting to change 'em when I post lol

I wonder what pressed tin would look like....

there is supposed to be a photo in my last post, but I can't see it.

I've also lost the Quote function.

I wish ebay would quit whatever it is they are doing

I thought the tiles might take in all the power points and if the same colour as the cupboards, take away that busy look.

I am finding it difficult to put anything on my benches, liking that sterile look, lol

you are clever!

I would also put that microwave on a shelf.
