I take NO offence at the word Pommy Katy! I am one! I just did that coz I've been in trouble more than once for calling a pome a pome! Lol
Don't get me started about visa's at the moment, my Mums sister has just been denied a visa, she is 75 and has no living blood relations in England, she is VERY well off financially and would never be a burden on any of our services. The government has stopped people coming on the last relation visa. Poor old dear is all alone in the world!

Have you talked to an immigration lawyer, Mugssy? I am sure you can find one for free on the net for an initial consultation.

IMO the only workers that should be classed in the needed area (of any country) should be professionals such as doctors, surgeons, teachers, real need to have them professions.....you get my drift......

That's sad.  She should be allowed to come here to spend her time with her family, especially given she is self supporting.

Thats terrible.

We have an immigration lawyer it cost her a non refundable 4000 pound to have the lawyer work on her behalf, half way through the process the government suspended all applications. We have done everything possible except gone to the media, that's just not us. It's very sad but what can you do? We just have to wait.

How is her health, Mugssy?

My aunt is elderly but in good health and a non smoker.
