I'm going to post a photo over on the contest.

Like Band's telephone pole and others, it would be more interesting to see the photo taken with it, but that one's not a closeup. I may post it here.

Can you imagine any reason for a woodpecker to drill umpteen dozen holes in a 3 foot pine?

I don't think our woodpeckers do that.   They use rotting trees around here.   Ours are lazy.  🙂
