For people who haven't tried macro before, have a look on your camera or phone for this symbol.

For dslr camera you might have to do a bit of digging in the camera settings to find it.

Seriously,

It looks like it's a porcelain something with the colorful part being some attached decoration - maybe feather.

Pimpy,

I have a VERY poor/cheap camera...........so says my son.

For quite some time I've been trying to decide on which camera to purchase which would do clear macro photos.   I used to sell on eBay.com and had a LOT of trouble when I needed to do a closeup of a particular area of what I was selling.   Also had a lot of trouble with white porcelain reflections, etc.   When eBay started changing so much, I stopped looking for my new camera.  I didn't know I'd find myself interested in the photo challenge.

The chat thread said Macro or  close-up..   We can just ignore giving Kudos to those we feel are not MACRO enough --------including my own.  🙂

PS:  I should have posted on this thread that I really didn't put the second photo in thinking it was close enough.  It just showed how beautiful it was from a side view.  I should have brought that photo over here instead.

Sorry about toteming posts. I came on to say OMGosh.........There are SO many beautiful photos on the thread since I was here earlier. It's going to be a great contest this week.

When I first saw it I thought similar, but then I asked Channy what she to a photo of with my camera.

Sorry donna but no itsnot Woman LOL

Blessed are the cracked, for they are the ones who let in the light.

I'm an expert typo reader, maybe because I do so many myself. LOL

CM, I know it'snot porcelain, but I do wonder if it's possible there may be a fly in there, somewhere Smiley LOL

Donna, whatever J*oono uses takes brilliant close up shots. They are so good we don't even realise it a photo of a miniature until she tells us.
