If your concern with halal products is purely idealogical then there is no connection - if it is a concern for the possible cruelty invlved in halal slaughter then the two are inextricably linked, because most  -if not all -of  the countries to which we export our  sheep and cattle do practise halal slaughter, often under  very primitive conditions.

I asked because I suspect  (though I hope I am wrong) that you believe the anti-live trade campaign to be  merely left wing hysteria which could  ruin our economy,  yet If your concerns regarding  halal slaughter are really to do with  the welfare of the animals involved, then  I don't see how you can be against one but not the other.

personally i wouldn't buy either, the slaughter of the animals is barbaric both halal & kosher. I would also like to see live trade stopped
