Joan Rivers was very funny, quick-witted, a real trail blazer, admirable.
Going to miss her.
She was the daughter of immigrants from Russia.
An example of the American Dream. ![]()

Yes and kudos to sineater, after all Joan Rivers was an American comedienne and here we are speaking about her here. Viva la freedom of speech!
Good on ya, sin.
Joan Rivers was really courageous, she spoke her mind and in a very comical way.

I can't agree with some of these comments, she was rude, cutting, nasty, hurtful and the queen of bullying, we complain about bullying yet laugh at slur's Joan Rivers heaped on her innocent victims.

Deb I don't expect people to agree with me, but, I say it as I see it I feel for her family and those who loved her and certainly hope she's at peace.

freddie,i get your point of view. yes, there were times when she was rude, and vulgar. many comedians are, from all countries and walks of life.but she WAS part of our lives for many years, and deserves acknowleging her death,i think.
which you did! and i thank you for that. i've never understood that old saying"don't speak ill of the dead". if you don't like them, why shouldn't you get to say so?
steppe, kindly take your free speech issues elsewhere. this post wasn't about that,it was to acknowlege the death of a woman who was reknowned worldwide. i don't have any issues with speaking freely on this board,so keep me out of it,please.TIA.
