Jack the Ripper solved.

Wow, modern tecnology has finaly revealed the identity of Jack the Ripper.

DNA tests show it to be Polish Immigrant, Aaron Kosminski.

(I always thought it was the doctor).

I was just reading about that, amazing how they could do that so many years down the track.

Lucky there were morbid collectors around that bought the stained shawl of that victim, yuck, why would that have been kept in the first place?

Unfortunately, the provenance of the item from which the DNA was extracted is in question.......

Really?  It would be a bit of a coincidence for some other random shawl to hold dna of a jack the ripper suspect though.

Hmmm, from a quick read it seems the dna may not be as conclusive as the article makes its sound.

Where did they get the guy's DNA from to compare?

I just read about this. At first, Iwas excited but now after doing a bit more reading, I am a little skeptical. It will be interesting to see what unfolds over the next few days and week. Patricia Cornwall was another author who had "solved" the Jack the Ripper mystery but was wrong.

t is just as likely he gave her the shawl as a gift? or she stole it from him, or he was a client..........

it's fascinating Kopes, are they saying they only ran the test twice?

I don't know why, but I had always hoped it wasn't the doctor, but it sure looked that way

From his descendants apparently.
