They eat your carrots too? No wonder they're such big healthy looking things

Sorry to hear about your tree Blue, that was quite a storm we had yesterday. One of our cats is terrified of them and hides under the bed for hours

Glad no-one was hurt or house or pets etc.

Very lucky. It could have caused so much damage if it had been blown in a different direction.

Hi Bluecat.  Sorry to see your tree "go".

I haven't dealt with insurance companies in regard to downed trees.  However, if the stump is still in the ground, will the loppers just tidy up and leave the stump there?  Or will they grind it down to ground level?  Just something to consider for future landscaping and the insurance claim.

To Pimpy they are big grubs. I saw a wattle tree damaged by black cockatoos chewing the tree getting them. The tree looked as though it had been repeatedly shot with a shotgun.

DEB

The stump will need to be removed. the assessor is coming on saturday so hopefully i'll find out more info soon.

LOL, love your work richo Smiley LOL

my poor tree does look like it's been blasted by a shotgun. It's got lots of small holes where the critters have burrowed in or out.

The pesky galahs are currently trimming my little wattle tree for me.
