It's your business how you see yourself.  You don't need the approval of anyone else.

Hello, everyone. This discussion is getting a little heated. Could we please communicate with a more civil tone. Thanks!

Usual suspects.

It must be very distressing to be a partner/parent/family of serving members of the Armed Forces who are going to be sent oseas.

I think that any human being with an ounce of humanity in them would support anything that would put a stop to isil.

The point is though: will us (USA, Australia, UK etc.) going over there help or is it only going to act as catalyst for more and more young Muslim people getting recruited for ISIL?  I have seen the other day some of the ISIL propaganda; very effective in making some people wanting to belong.

Another question is how many innocent people will become the "collateral damage" of our actions?

Voltaire: “Those Who Can Make You Believe Absurdities, Can Make You Commit Atrocities” .

too true icyfroth. Much better to stick to the topic than go the mob attack.

Our humanity guides us and if  you do  not support the actions of “the many countries” who are  willing to stand up and do something to save these people from genocide then Nazi Germany comes to mind and we all know what happened to six million people there when people did nothing.

Taking cheap political pot shots at the government who are the representatives of us, elected  by the majority of us and crowing war monger  because of political partisanship then why bother commenting day after day on every pollie thread??

better off just sticking to the “diary” where no dissent is  forthcoming, much more palatable.

Posters have free reign to post on any thread on the eBay discussion boards. It is impertinent to suggest otherwise.

Lightning ... I'm interested: why is no-one (almost) paying attention to what is happening in Africa with the terrorist organisations there?

And, what, exactly, is going to happen in the Middle East with intervention from "the many countries" (where the Arab countries who are participating grows less by the day)?

How is Western participation in Iraq going to solve any problems?
