A woman mentioned threats from ADL on Qanda last night.

some info on ADL, seems they are some far right extremist group operating here in Oz, attacking muslim women seems to be their thing so far

the group's members and followers have been stalking and photographing Muslim women on public transport, spraying invective at Muslims on Sydney streets and on social media, displaying anti-Islamic posters outside mosques and even threatening to blow up an Islamic school

Oh gosh, they threatened to blow up a school too. I hope the school has been able to take necessary precautions

& that was back on 4th April too

She said she has received personal threats from ADL, they said they will cut her children throats, behead her and rape her.  When she went to police with that nothing was done.  I know that there was now and then something in the media, but not hitting the front pages the way it happened with the recent raids.

I was just reading that the ADL started here in 2009. I had never even heard of them until last week

She seemed quite terrified of them, understandably.

I hope the police take more notice now, since the cheery faced one said he would investigate it for her.  I found him rather off putting though talking about terrorism with a big cheesy grin.

I felt a bit sorry for Michael Keenan, he was kind of on his own there? and his answers about ADL didn't quite cut it.
