Kudos to Medford, Oregon, whose citizens sent 3 semi-truck loads of food and  clothing to Weed...........

That fire is in very Northern California. Thank you Oregon, and all of the other fire fighters out there trying to help these people. 

We get fires in the hills around my town very frequently during this time of year. It's very scary, especially because I keep my horse at a home in the hills. I've helped evacute many horses over the years from the surrounding areas. 

Those poor people in Weed. It looks really devastating. 

Well, almost 24 hours of rain has helped with containment of all the fires, but the bad news is flash flood warnings in the burned-off areas, including the glacier on Mt Shasta.
