It's like what ever the religion there is an element of nut job in those that take the ancient text too seriously and refuse to move with the times.

well the problem with islam is that it is the only religion that advocates to kill people who refuse to become muslims. it is also the only religion that has the death penalty for apostates.
it is also the only religion that tells people not to make friends with "infidels".
ever heard of taqiyya?
once i was ignorant but then i read up about it and the more you read the more apalled you are.

i know so called "moderate" muslims. they are just like you and me but won't eat pork. great people who have never actually read the q'ran otherwise they would be so apalled that they would apostasise from islam altogether.
BUT...
they have kids....and the q'ran is in the bookshelf....

That's kinda weird, but not the weirdest thing i think. I'd change seats just to avoid being arrested. But after my last, or first, same thing, trip on a plane where TSA made me miss my flight, i'd drive or ride the bus in the first place.
