I have a very good friend who runs a pub in (outbackish) SA, want me to put in a good word........??

Thanks but I think a little cottage in Mintaro or Burra will do me just fine. Not quite the outback but felt like it was in the middle of nowhere...

If you have the opportunity to try it for 6 months and see if it's what you thought it would be, DO IT.
I find people in SA more relaxed and gentler than always busy Melbourne n Sydney people.
Haven't stayed in Brissy so don't know about the tropics.

I just got back from hols in Mackay and still hankering for the country life there. Eggs fresh from the chook's backside for brekky, etc.
