Are you supporting or are you a supporter of sharia law and sharia law in Australia?

Do you want Australia to be converted to an Islamic state under sharia law?

I'll answer the questions ...

Now, what's the question behind the questions?

Some replies seem to have gone missing.  I wonder if that's the reason for the questions.

No.

No.

seems some need to be reminded about the Australian way of life which doesn't include  discrimination based on peoples religion.

http://www.dfat.gov.au/facts/democratic_rights_freedoms.html

Australia’s Constitution prohibits the Australian Parliament from making any law for establishing any religion, imposing any religious observance, or prohibiting the free exercise of any religion. From the earliest days of European settlement, religious diversity has been a fact, and religious freedom has been a part, of Australian life. While Australia is predominantly a Christian country, there are large communities that practise Islam, Buddhism, Judaism and Hinduism. Australia also has a rich history of Indigenous traditions and beliefs, as well as a diversity of other faiths. Australia is a liberal, multicultural society, and the Australian Government practises constant vigilance, through the rigorous investigation of complaints by statutory bodies, to ensure the human right to free religious expression is protected for all community members.

I think they are offensive questions, why ask them?, fairly obvious that everyone posting here would so no.

Boris, I think we've discussed this before ... the Constitution also prohibits offering any official position where religious beliefs are a qualification for office ... so, the religious "chaplains" in schools seem to be in breach of this.

Az, how come you got to post in pink? 😉

I'll have a go at answering your questions Nero.

I dont know much about Hizb ut Tahrir so I cant really answer that question BUT I am for an Islamic state in the middle east.  As far as I'm concerned if the Jewish people can have a Jewish state in the middle east then so should the Muslims be able to have an Islamic state in the middle east.

I am a supporter of Sharia law in an Islamic state in the middle east, but am totally against Sharia law in Australia.

Absolutely no way.

There are countries who have Sharia Law already................. that question had 2 parts.

I was just testing the pink, lol Katy.

Sec ... that got a kudo for "thought provoking" ...

I realize that AZ.   I had a look at this; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Application_of_sharia_law_by_country seems there a quite a few countries that operate under Sharia law.  I guess seeing as about one sixth of the worlds population is Muslim there would be alot of countries that operate under Sharia law.  Does it make them Islamic states though?

LOL thanks Katy, it's an interesting discussion 🙂
